Kindergarten
We offer a 1-day program that meets on Tuesday or Thursday for kindergarteners from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. This class will be self-contained for our littlest learners. Students must be 5 years old by August 1st, able to be separated from parent, and potty-trained. The students will engage in hands-on learning using children's literature as the focus! We will provide some assignments to be done at home that will complement the classroom activities.
We only accept six (6) Kindergarten students in each class to be able to provide the best possible experience for their first time in "school". We love our littlest learners! (*Students with disabilities will need to be evaluated before being accepted into this program.)
The Curriculum
This class will be using parts of the following curricula:
- Five in a Row Preschool & Kindergarten Curriculum
- Handwriting Without Tears
- Also included will be tutor-created materials that often go home for extra practice throughout the week.
- Please Note: The Core program is not all inclusive. We suggest you add (1) a reading/phonics program and (2) a math curriculum to make your child’s learning complete (see suggestions below).
